Woody Guthrie was an influential American folk singer, communist, and outspoken anti-fascist during the 1940s and 1960s. In 1944, the year before the end of World War II, during Mussolini’s and Hitler’s dictatorships, deep in the Jim Crow era, and when labor unions across the US were fighting for safe working conditions and living wages, he recorded one of his most widely-celebrated songs, “All You Fascists Bound to Lose.” Rude Mechanical Orchestra plays this song to end fascism once and for all.
